pizza at pisa

This goal in particular is pretty childish, but I was one of the many children who grew up thinking it would be great to visit "the leaning tower of pizza" one day. When I found out that it was the tower of Pisa, I decided it would be so great and "funny" to eat pizza at pisa. Plus Italian pizza is good, right!

sky dive

July 28th my sister and I were finally able to take the leap we'd been waiting so long for. Although it was prolonged for a year (due to bad weather), I think it was worth waiting, jumping over beautiful Montana. About a year ago I chose three tasks to check off the list. (bungee jump, zip line, and sky dive) This was the third of my goals for the year, although I missed the date by about a month. The planes elevation was 13,000 feet when we jumped! The freefall lasted a minute and was definately the best part. The canopy ride to follow lasted about five minutes. There is nothing like the exhilerating fall at 120 mph. I would definately go again in an instant.

swim with dolphins

A few days ago I found myself swimming with dolphins in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This is such a unique experience and I recommend it to anyone who has considered it before and is able to do it. I am so grateful that I was able to participate in swimming with them, actually for the second time! The dolphins are a lot different then expected, they are very powerful but very trained. This dolphin (Aqua) weighed 681 pounds but was very tame and sweet. She gave us a ride and kisses while we "pet" her. One day I will find pictures of the first time I went and post them.

climb the great wall

This summer I was blessed with the opportunity to serve in China at an orphanage called Shepherds Field. On one of our days off, we got to venture to the great wall, and I got to check this off the list!

zipline

Three years ago my sister, two great friends (Heather and Catriona Walker), and myself decided to go ziplining in Haiti. To our disappointment, the time we were scheduled to zipline, a tropical storm hit the island and we were not allowed to go. Two years later, we were finally able to travel back and go! It is in Labadee and is considered the longest zipline in the world. Very fun!!

sell a photograph

In December 2010, I entered a photo contest at a local Seattle restaurant. I got sixth place, but luckily they decided to have an art show with the photos that were submitted. I went for about an hour and right before I left, a super sweet lady bought my photo! It was so encouraging, because photography is my passion. This has been on my bucket list for a while, so I was so glad to have unexpectly crossed it out

bungee jump

Spring break of 2010 my mom and I travelled to the Edmonton Mall in Canada. When I looked up a map of the mall I stumbled across their "bungee jumping" section and immediately reserved a slot. It's considered the worlds largest indoor bungee. Falling felt like it lasted forever..even though the time went by fast. I probably wouldn't do it again, but I am so glad I did it once! One day I will upload the video on here.
